The pension insurance organisational reform on 1st October 2005 introduced a common definition of what an insured person is. The regular administrative activities of the German Pension Fund are the responsibility of the fulltime Board of Management. This consists of the President who chairs the Board and two Directors who are elected by the general meeting of representatives following their nomination by the Board.
